Rishi Kapoor Goofs Up, Wishes Everyone A Happy 70th Independence Day Instead Of 71st!
Rishi Kapoor has once again committed a blunder on Twitter. This time he tweeted to wish everyone a Happy 70th Independence Day and his fans started correcting him as it is the 71st Independence Day
It's India's 71st Independence Day today and B-Town wished their fans on
social media with a lot of enthusiasm.
Rishi Kapoor too tweeted: "And wishing my INDIA, the
greatest, a very Happy 70th "Independence Day"! Let peace,
brotherhood and love prevail. Vande Mataram! Jai Hind! (sic)"

And Rishi’s followers immediately jumped in to correct
him. One wrote, "With due respect to you Sir, it's 71st Independence
Day (sic)," while another tweeted, "Sir , it's 71st Independance day,
not 70th," and it went on.

It was an unintentional mistake but Rishi’s followers did
not spare the actor.
Speaking of Independence Days, yesterday Rishi Kapoor had
tweeted to his Pakistani followers: "Wishing all my friends from Pakistan
a Happy 'Youm-e-Azaadi' ka din. Happy Independence Day. Let peace, brotherhood

The reaction that the actor received on social media was
a mixed bag as there were many who got offended while others praised his
gesture. Several followers rebuked Rishi Kapoor for wishing a country which
does not have friendly bilateral relations with India.
Twitter controversies aside, on the work front, Rishi
Kapoor is currently working on 102 Not Out starring Amitabh Bachchan.
